Mangia Frigo ("we") helps you see what you can cook from the food you already have. This page explains what information the app uses and why. We don't sell your data or show ads.

Photos you take

When you scan, your fridge and cabinet photos are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) only to identify the food in them for that scan. We don't save your photos on our servers.

Nutrition lookups

The names of foods found in your photos are looked up in the U.S. Department of Agriculture's FoodData Central database. No personal information is sent with those lookups.

Device ID and free scans

The app creates a random ID on your device so we can count your free scans and check your subscription. We also store a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of your network address to limit free scans. Neither identifies you by name.

Payments and subscriptions

In the iPhone and Android apps, purchases are handled by Apple or Google, and subscription status is managed by RevenueCat. On the website, payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your full card details.

Hosting

The app is hosted on Netlify, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.

Children

Mangia Frigo is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Your choices

You can delete the app or clear the website's data to remove your device ID. To ask us to delete any data linked to your device ID, email 3140haymaker@gmail.com.
